2. Minutes of the Last Meeting Held On 18 April 2007
The Minutes of the last meeting were agreed upon to be a true and accurate record of the proceedings.
3. Matters Arising:
3.1 Wash-up Parish Plan Open Day - 8 May 2007:
It was agreed that the Open Day was a great success with well received input and interest shown by all who attended, starting from the drop-in at 11am to 7pm. Therefore, it was noted that a THANK YOU should be passed onto all those involved including West Devon Borough Council, National Trust, WestDEN, Sports Field, Stories from the Stone Forest, the Church,
Sue Holland, Steering Group members and again last but not least the residents and visitors.
It was noted that 65 Questionnaires were returned (65 households in all), with some also promised to be returned at a later date. A draft break down of the questionnaire and its main issues raised are attached. Also AF counted and reported back (see attached sheet) from the ‘Main Issues’ table which focussed on people placing dots on what they feel is Important – Irrelevant, including any further comments (thank you Aime).
After
looking at the results from the above it was noted that we still needed to try and offer an opportunity to
those people who could not attend the Open Day,
for example teenagers. Therefore, it
was decided that the Questionnaire should
be attached to the next Parish Magazine, offering drop-in boxes at the PO and also the Castle Inn. Action
MJ
It was also agreed that we, the Steering Group, should have a table at the Summer Fair with results from the Open Day and further issues for input, for example Question and Answer session helping to form the main questionnaire, etc.
As a result of the success of the Open Day and consultation with Devon District Services and the Steering Group it was agreed that for the main Questionnaire in the Autumn which will be included in the Parish Plan main, an outside agency should be sought (Devon District Services) to formulate the Questionnaire and analyse its results. The main reason for this would allow a ‘non bias Questionnaire’, of course, with relevant questions posted by the Steering Group.
